Since October 1, 2025, Florida sellers of residential property must give buyers a flood disclosure at or before the time the contract is signed. It asks whether the seller:

  • has received federal assistance for flood damage, such as from FEMA.

The form also reminds buyers that standard homeowners insurance doesn't cover flooding. Use the current Florida REALTORS or attorney-approved form, and ask a real estate attorney if your situation is unusual.
